It's time, It's time, Yippee! Who doesn't love free fabric?!
How about a Fat Quarter Bundle of October Afternoon's Farm Girl collection for Riley Blake? It's full of cherries, roses, canning jars, cows, pigs, sheep and my personal favorite, canning labels! Not to mention, the cute little red-headed farm girl in her pig tails and overalls! All sorts of farm cuteness in one fun fat quarter bundle!
Right?! Am I right?! My mind is spinning with ideas for these fabrics!

I have so many nice memories of being on a farm, soe are not very old, we live on the countryside. But if I have to choose my number 1, it will my boyfriend (who is my huwband now ;-)) learning me to drive a real tractor!!
My experience was at my grandmothers farm, my sister picked up a baby chick, and the mother hen came after us. I laugh now but then I we were scurrying! Love the bundle. Thank you for the giveaway.
When I was little, we would go on summer vacation to visit my Great Granny on her farm. She had the most amazing kitchen vegetable garden and grew beautiful roses too!
Thanks!
Quilty Huggs,
Jacqueline
Grew up having fun at my grandmother’s farm got my love of gardening and sewing from her thanks for the chance God bless mgj
Growing up my parents had chickens and cows and my siblings and I loved to gather the eggs and help with the milking. Of course, our helping didn’t really “help” a lot. :-). Thanks for the giveaway.
Haylofts, once I hid from my aunt who was visiting – I had pink eye and was sure she would give me a shot because she was a nurse. Watched from the hayloft until my cousin found me and snitched! No shot, just drops, lol – won’t ever forget it – still remember after 50 years…
I had a friend who lived on a farm and I got to have a sleepover at her house. We milked a cow in the morning and had the fresh milk with our breakfast. Thanks for a chance to win!
Hands down, riding the tractor with my dad! He had Farmall tractors and as one of 5 children it was one way to get one -on -one time with my dad.
I grew up on a mini farm. A favorite memory is climbing on the roof of one of the low barns, as well as the many dogs we had.
One time I spent the night with a farm family. As the girl who was my age and I were crossing a field, the bull decided he did not want us there. Fortunately we were able to roll under a fence before he reached us, but my winter coat caught on the barbed wire and tore. It was a very memorable experience.
We used to have chickens – which was great getting fresh eggs every day. The funniest memory that I have of them is our rooster chasing our kids around the yard. I don’t know who was more scared – me or the rooster?! Great bundle – I would make a baby quilt for my farmer niece who is expecting in July :)
As a child I grew up in a small city without much farm life but my best friend had a huge backyard and they had chickens and a pig. We watched her dad slaughter the pig one year!
When I young, we went to my great grandparents’ farm and saw the peeps and I thought that was great fun!
picking salad ingredients just before making a salad and snacking as you pick yum!
My favorite farm experience was when I was about 8, visiting my grandparent’s farm in Surrey, BC. She took me out on the flatbed truck to feed her Black Angus cattle. I jumped off the back and had a bucket of grain. What she didn’t tell me, were the cows knew what the truck meant, filled with hay bales and grain, and of course they all came up to the truck. The faster I backed up, the faster they moved forward. I was finally running with the bucket of grain in my hand, terrified! My uncle scooped me up and deposited me back on the flatbed, and dumped the grain out on the hay. Terrified of cows for a long time after that, lol!
shelling peas from the garden – not!
we had a small farm while I was growing up with a tiny play house that I would play daily in.
I grew up in a small town, but my grandparents lived on the farm. I looked forward to staying with them. There was so much to see: cows, corn fields, rows of trees, flower garden and vegetable garden. I remember taking peas out of the pods.
As a young girl, my father tried all sorts of things to make extra money. One year he decided raising cotton was the way to go. Picking cotton is very difficult and not much fun for a seven-year old. Thankfully, one year was enough for him.
I loved it when they let me ride on the hay wagon. I always played in the dirt while my mom worked in the vegetable garden when I was little, then when I got bigger I worked the garden too. Hoeing wasn’t very much fun,but I am still fond of those memories of my mom.
