Rumor has it that many of you have been anxiously waiting for the arrival of Sweetwater's Volume ll! You are not alone! We are in love with this reproduction! How would you like to win a yard or two...or four? This month we are giving away yardage, not to only one of you, but to you and a friend! It's always more fun to sew with a friend, right? Two yards for you and two yards for your sewing buddy. You can mix and match by the 1/2 yard cut or you can choose 2 yards of the same.

My sewing buddy is myself. None of my best friends or any family members quilt, but I love to quilt. When I come home from work, I go to my sewing room and quilt for whatever time I have before dinner. On the weekends as soon as I wake up I get a cup of coffee and go to the sewing room. I have four dogs and during the day they sit on tubs of fabric by the windows and keep me company. I have met several quilters at different BOM programs and it’s nice to meet other people who love your hobby.

My sewing bubby is my mom. We quilted together using her machine. However as my medical problems got worse, she encoraged me and helped me to get my own machine. My medical problens limit what I can do many days. However now quilting is an important part of my life. Even days when i am unable to physically quilt, I can look at fabrics and patterns and dream and plan. Activites that help to fulfill my days. Then when I have good days I can quilt and I feel like I have accomplished something(even though it takes a long time somethings). Also I have feeling that there will be things left here, that people will hopefully use, even when I am gone. She is a very smart lady and knew I would need this hobby.

My daughter inspires me! She is new to quilting and has no fear! She has been tackling things that I haven’t dreamed of in all my years of quilting. She makes we want to do more! Love her to pieces and so happy that she is letting her creativity shine!
